  • Scoring & Standings (Two Ways to Win)

Each weekly match counts in two ways:

    Match Play (Record Champion)

Teams compete head-to-head each week. The team with the lowest score for the match earns:
    • Win = 1 point
    • Loss = 0 points
    • Tie = 0.5 points each

Standings are tracked by total points across Weeks 1–8.

    Stroke Play (Total Score Champion)

All teams also track their weekly score. The team with the lowest accumulated total score across Weeks 1–8 will be crowned the Lowest Total Score Champion.

    Regular Season Championships

Every team competes for two regular-season titles:

    Best Record Champion
Based on total match points earned across the regular season.

    Lowest Total Score Champion
Lowest cumulative score across all eight regular-season weeks.

These championships are awarded regardless of playoff results.

    Playoffs

At the conclusion of the regular season, the top four teams by record advance to the playoffs.

    Prizes

    • Cash Prize
    • Custom golf belt for the winning team
    • Champion recognition on a plaque inside COMO Golf Club

  • Handicaps

Handicaps are used to help keep matches competitive for all skill levels.

    • Players without an established handicap will use a league default handicap
    • Each player’s handicap is applied at 80% of their full handicap
    • Each team’s handicap is the average of the two players’ handicaps
    • Team handicaps will be applied to determine net scoring for weekly matches and season totals
    • League officials may adjust handicaps as needed to maintain fair competition
    • League officials have final authority on handicap decisions

    No handicap required to play.

    2v2 Handicap Example

    • Team A:
      Player 1 handicap = 10
      Player 2 handicap = 14
      Team A handicap = (10 + 14) / 2 = 12
      80% applied = 12 × 0.80 = 9.6 → rounds to 10 strokes

    • Team B:
      Player 1 handicap = 6
      Player 2 handicap = 18
      Team B handicap = (6 + 18) / 2 = 12
      80% applied = 12 × 0.80 = 9.6 → rounds to 10 strokes

    How the match scoring works:

    If Team A shoots -2 (34) and Team B shoots Even (36) on a par 36 course:

    • Team A Net Score: 34 – 10 = 24

    • Team B Net Score: 36 – 10 = 26

      • Team A wins the match

    • Mulligans cannot be used during Scramble rounds due to software limitations
    • If a mulligan is approved and used, teams must manually update scoring and clearly indicate the change on the scorecard
